Schedule
07:00 am : departure from Sofia. Pick-up from your hotel or other type of accommodation in Sofia.
08:45 am : arrival at the base station of the Rila Lakes chair lift
After arriving at the parking of the chairlift you have free time to explore the area on your own.
You can take the chairlift and walk around the mountain lakes or take one of the hiking routes up the mountain.
17:00 pm : departure from the parking of the chair lift in direction to Sofia city. About 2 hours journey to Sofia.
19:00 pm : arrival in Sofia city. Return to your hotel is included in the price.
Before you go
The 7 Rila Lakes are located high in the Rila National Park.
Temperatures can drop to 5° even during summer, so please consider appropriate warm clothing, rain coat and comfortable walking shoes.
Sunglasses, sun hat and sun cream are also advised as the sun can be quite strong up in the mountain.
